Romahome Dismountable
A Mark II dismountable Romahome, pictured still with a Honda TN-Acty base vehicle but just about to be transferred onto the Diahatsu Hi Jet on the right in June 2005. Due to the huge enthusiasm of Dismountable owners and the many forms they take there is now a page dedicated to these vehicles. Click here to view more Romahome Dismountables |
| Romahome Suntrekker by Major W Tyler The original “pod” was made by a firm called Walkers for an MOD project. This was not accepted and the first Suntrekker was produced in around 1970. This did not sell and Island Plastics brought the production rights. I brought my outfit in 1990 on a Ford P100 that I used for business. Ten years later I transferred the pod to the Ford Ranger as in the photo. I have been using it ever since. For Vehicle Specifcations, click here. | ![]() |
