In September 1985 Island Plastics called together the owners of Romahomes and Rominis to see if they were interested in forming an owners club. The 100 plus people present decided that they would like a club, and in February 1986 at the Excelsior Hotel in Birmingham the first official meeting of the Roma Club was held. Six months later, in August 1986, the first Roma Club rally was held at Newmarket Racecourse. The Roma Club currently has around 400 members.

The Roma Club produces a Newsletter for its members containing information about rallies, updates on fellow members and their travels, news from Romahome Limited, advice on technical matters, hints and tips on maintenance and equipment.

AGM
The Roma Club's AGM is held in May every year giving members the opportunity to catch up, relax and enjoy the entertainment and activities hosted by the club.
Aside from the formal Annual General Meeting where members discuss and vote on Club matters, a typical AGM involves a car boot, an award for best DIY modification to a Romahome, an award for best photograph featuring a Romahome, entertainment (recent years have seen a rousing Brass Band, an hilarious comedy act). There are regular free refreshments throughout the weekend courtesy of Romahome Ltd, the opportunity to get advice from fellow members and representatives from the manufacturer and dealers who attend.
Rallies
Other Roma Club Rallies are also held throughout the year, throughout the UK so there's always a chance to meet with other members at a convenient location, make new friends, relax and do as much or as little as you choose. There is always a welcoming friendly atmosphere at Roma Club rallies. A Rally Diary is kept in the Club Members section of this website so you can always see what is happening near you.
The Roma Club is fully independent from Romahome Limited, and is open to all owners of vehicle manufactured by Romahome Limited (formerly Island Plastics)

Subscriptions
The Membership fee for the remainder of 2010 is £8.00. This includes issues of the Club Newsletter. Membership also entitles you to discounts with insurers, dealers and to attend to the Roma Club Rallies which occur throughout the country throughout the year
